Recruiting

Recruiting is OPEN.  We are currently accepting applications for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

How Do I Join?

First, please fill out our official guild application.

Second, we would like for all potential new recruits to register on our forums.  This gives us a chance to get to know each other better.  If you are accepted as a member, active participation on the forums is required.

Last, please be sure you are a registered member on the official SWTOR site and request to be added to our Guild Headquarters there.

New Recruit FAQ

What faction is your guild?  Sol Confederacy is a Sith guild in SWTOR.  Any applicant must want to play one of the Sith-aligned Professional Classifications: Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent, or Sith Inquisitor.

Who can join?  We are open to all play styles.  Our guild is structured for PvE and questing, with a later focus on endgame raiding.  Role play of your character is encouraged, but not required.  Crafting and space elements of the game will also be supported.  We do not have an age requirement, but a player must maintain a high level of maturity and professionalism at all times.

Are you a bunch of Force wielding bad guys?  No.  You do not need to play a Force using class.  For RP purposes, we are typically a mercenary/ragtag group.  If you are a role player, you do not need to play an evil character bent on taking over the galaxy.

What if I want an alternate Jedi character…or Smuggler?  Republic characters will not be able to be a part of Sol Confederacy.  Alternate Sith-aligned characters will be accepted into the guild, however.

I’ve seen role play mentioned a few times.  What’s up with that?  Most of us are casual role players, but it is not required to be a member.  Guild and group chats are generally out-of-character (OOC) while some social interactions with other players can be in-character (IC) if the individual player has an interest.

Do I have to commit to playing X hours per week?  No, most of us can’t.  We all have lives outside of the gaming universe, and your real family should come first.  We would like to have regular players, but activity almost always picks up during weekends.  We do organize group events, and participation is encouraged.

Do I need to have top end equipment?  Sol Confederacy welcomes players of all skill levels.  We do not exclude based on gear or stats, and you will never be kicked out of one of our questing groups because you don’t have color-coded armor sets.

Sometimes I just like to take a break from combat and explore.  We regularly organize non-combat related activities and enjoy having fun.  One of our core beliefs is that it’s not all about gaining levels and equipment.  We enjoy doing side quests and socializing with other players.

I don’t have Teamspeak or Ventrillo.  Do I need a mic?  No.  Having a microphone/headset does make things easier, especially when raiding…but is not required to be a member.  We do not currently have a chat server set up for SWTOR, but that may change in the future.

What is your guild structure?  Sol Confederacy has a long history of being a democratic guild, whose members elect their leadership.  The guild is led by the Council of Elders, and there is room for members to advance into leadership roles.
